  for the BG

Completely revised BG.

  The dimensions of the ball bearings are:

for the little ones 8 x 22 x 7 mm 

 for the big ones 12 x 28 x 8 mm

the piston barrel in the BG is wonderfully preserved! 

 without grooves, without peeling off the chrome.

The gas heating was also revised. 

 so you can also install the lady in the mobile ;-)

the lead weight had to go! 

 therefor a vacuum valve.

all pipes, not just from the outside!  

but also from within.

The frame was powder-coated, 

as well as the side parts! 

 should keep the next 40-50 years

The upper tray for mugs

are both orig.! 

and the Chrome is very well preserved. 

Gaggia Handlever 1G from the 80s

It's been a while with a Gaggia

Here's one from the 80s if I'm not mistaken.

really nice device feet,
polish a bit, then they look good

 

 

 As is so often the case, 

the Gaggia BG are quite difficult to maintain ...

 

 

Everything was in the best condition here!
In any case, seals and springs cannot be used.
Ball bearings and the bolt are like new :-)

 

 

I can slowly build up the Gaggia ...
The original pressostat was re-sealed and cleaned.

The safety valve has received a small collecting tray ...

The only upgrades she got:
Safety valve..New wiring ... and a control light.
a drill hole was available :-)

 

 

 

 

I put the step circuit back in its original state!

The machine has two heaters!
one with 400 watts and one with 900 watts.
Pos. 1: machine works with 900 W.
Pos. 2: Machine works with 400 W.
Pos. 3: 0
Pos. 4: Both heaters run at the same time.

That's cool ... so you can switch the Gaggia to economy mode ..
what a cool thing that is over 40 years old ...
